What is…. Pareodolia?

IMG_7816 IMG_7817 IMG_7818 (1) IMG_7819Some of you may ask “What is pareidolia?” and honestly if I was you I’d be asking the same question but to allow myself to have a better understand of what this means, I myself decided to do some research to help me understand what Pareidolia actually is.

From what I’ve read and come to understand in my own words Pareidolia means to look at something and see something else within it. If that was worded stupidly here’s an example, say you look at a tree just any old average tree, but because of the way the bark has grown, you yourself in your mind pictures something else, most commonly it will be a face. All that what I’ve explained is called Paredolia.

From I created concepts from this, by drawing lines on a page and then looking at them to see what I could create out of them. The images above are just thumbnail sketches and from drawings lines on a page. But from this I will experiment more with this method to see what images I could come up with and help me with further work.
